1)  SKIDDING CHAINS

Pulling out the winch cable and carrying the chains to the felled trees has typically been the heaviest part of a skidder operation.  The unique Farmi sensor and brake system has made the pulling out of the cable very easy.  The Farmi skidding chains are lightweight but strong as they are made of top quality materials such as boron steel.  A timesaving primer pin is fastened to the chains.  This primer pin makes it easier to pass the chain underneath a felled tree.  The pin is first pushed underneath the tree and then the chain is pulled through from the pin.

	JK 208 Boron steel skidding chain assembly, 9" long primer pin, 68" long chain with choker hook.  Breaking strength 10,200 lbs.  For use on Farmi JL290, JL351 models.  Weight: 4.5 lbs.  JK 249 Skidding chain assembly 5/16", 9" long primer pin, 80" long chain with choker hook.  Breaking strength 18,800 lbs.   For use on all Farmi models.  Weight 9lbs. JK 300 Skidding chain assembly 5/16", 9" long primer pin, 8' long chain with choker hook.  Breaking strength 18,800 lbs.  For use on all Farmi models.  Weight: 8lbs. JK 800  Skidding chain assembly 3/8".  Grade 800 alloy chain, 8' long with choker hook.  Breaking strength: 28,200 lbs.  For use on skidders and Farmi JL601, JL60T, and JL2/601 winch models.  Weight: 15 lbs.
	2)  CHOKER HOOKS The H7 choker hook fits 1/4" chain. The H8 choker hook fits 5/16" chain. The H10 choker hook fits 3/8" chain.
	3) FARMI SELF-RELEASING SNATCHBLOCK TP14 When obstacles prevent direct winching, or when the remaining trees are to be protected from damage, a self-releasing snatchblock should be used.  The Farmi snatchblock releases the cable when the keyhole slider reaches it.  The snatchblock is attached to an anchor tree with a nylon strap which prevents damage to the tree.  The automatic cable release works only when the pulley is turned upside down, which is when the release mechanism is facing the ground.  The self-releasing snatchblock can be used with 9/16" and smaller cable.
	4) FARMI KEYHOLE SLIDERS LL2, LL6 The Farmi keyhole sliders are used with the Farmi skidding chains.  The JL60T, JL601, and JL2/601 have LL6 keyhole sliders.  All other models have LL2 keyhole sliders. The LL2 size is used for cable up to 1/2" and skidding chains up to 5/16". The LL6 size is used for cable up to 3/4" and skidding chains from 5/16" to 7/16".

5)       Replacement Cables For Farmi Winches

A flexible steel core wire rope is the best replacement cable for the Farmi winches.

V10

The V10 cable is a 3/8" diameter 6 x 25 IWRC type with a breaking strength of approximately 13,110 lbs.,  The cable is 165 feet long.  It is used as a replacement in the following Farmi winch models: JL 20, JL 25, JL 30, JL 250, JL 256, JL 290, JL 300, JL 303, JL 306, JL 351, JL 400.

V12-145 and V12-165

The V12 cables have a 1/2" diameter and are of 6 x 25 IWRC type.  The breaking strength is approximately 23,000 lbs.  The cable is available in 145' and 165' lengths.  This cable is used in the following Farmi winch models: JL 45, JL 453, JL 456, JL 50, JL 500, JL 501.

V14

The V 14 cable has a diameter of 9/16".  It is of 6 x 25 IWRC type.  The breaking strength is approximately 29,000 lbs.  The cable is 165' long.  It is used as a replacement in the following Farmi winch models: JL 60T, JL 600, JL 601.
